Charlie Imbriani, PhD will be giving series of Adult Faith lectures on religious topics to garner greater understanding of our diocese implementation of “Restored Order” of the Sacraments.   
 
All parishioners are invited, especially the parents of children who are preparing to receive the Sacraments of Christian Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and The Eucharist (First Communion). We also invite our Catechists, and those who are signing up as facilitators in conjunction with the “Restored Order” introduction.
 
The topics we will be covering are:
Misconceptions and corrections on the Sacrament of Confirmation, the Restored Order.
*  The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), its structure, how to        negotiate CCC and how to teach from it.
*  Scripture and Divine Tradition, Treasury of Faith, The Teaching              Authority of the Church.
*  Doctrine, the Creeds
*  The Trinity
*   Grace, Actual and Sanctifying.
*   The Sacraments
*   Eucharist
*   Worship – Public (Liturgy), and Private
*   Mary

Class dates will be held:
Tuesdays, 10:00 - 11:30 AM, on the following dates:  April 22, April 29, May 6, May 13, May 20, May 27, June 3, and June 17.

Restored Order at Good Shepherd

First Reconciliation and First Communion

Children who have completed Sacrament Year 1 (or inquiry year) at Children’s Faith Formation/Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Trinity, or Sacred Heart Home Educators will celebrate these sacraments in Spring 2026. Formation will continue in Sacrament Year 2/OCIC. Parent meetings will be held in the fall for Reconciliation and winter for Communion. Families will also take part in

the First Communion Festival. More details, including registration info, will be shared soon.

Confirmation

Confirmation will be for 9th graders and older in Spring 2026. The process will include a parent/teen meeting, small group sessions in the fall, a winter retreat, and an individual meeting with team members, with Confirmation scheduled around mid-February (or as fits the Bishop’s schedule). Stay tuned for registration details.

What’s New?

Next year (2025-2026), we will strengthen our emphasis on family involvement. Look for upcoming Family Nights filled with fellowship, fun, and Faith Formation!

We’re reviewing the curriculum for each grade as we move toward restoring the order of the Sacraments. The bulletin will share more updates, and registration for all classes will be available by May 2025.
