Are you interested in discovering more about the Catholic Church, it's beliefs, and growing in your own faith and understanding? Then we invite you to join RCIA!
RCIA stands for Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. It is a program designed to help non-Catholics and non-practicing Catholics learn more about Catholicism through a series of classes, discussions, and prayer times.
The RCIA process is a journey that takes place within the Catholic community. We, the Church, will help and guide you through the process marked by four district periods: Inquiry, Growth, Preparation, and Mystagogy. During these periods, you will learn about the Sacraments of the Catholic Church, its ancient historical roots, and its rich and beautiful traditions. At the end of each period, you will be invited to participate in a community-celebrated rite, signifying a continuation in the process of initiation into the Catholic Church.
We invite you to take a deeper look at the Catholic Faith by joining the RCIA process. Take a moment to complete the contact form below or call the parish office to speak with our one of our priests.
The History of the Early Church series will be especially helpful for those considering joining the Church through the RCIA process. Click the following link for videos; History of the Early Church
Good Shepherd offers an opportunity to come together to learn more about our faith. Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. There are separate sessions for children or youth as part of the Children’s Faith Formation program. You are welcome to join us to share your questions, your insights and your faith story. A new journey begins in September 2023.
IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO MAY ANSWER YES TO ANY OF THE QUESTIONS ABOVE, PLEASE INVITE THEM TO EXPLORE BECOMING CATHOLIC.
