Friendship Circle is comprised of women who enjoy crafts, needlework and quilting...and also the companionship of women who love life and laughter.
We meet every Thursday following the 9:00 am Mass in the lower level of the Parish Center. Each first Thursday of most months, the ladies lunch together at a local restaurant. Some of the ladies of the group use their time stitching the quilt selected for the annual raffle. All proceeds from the raffle will be going to buy food for the Christmas boxes that are distributed to the needy of the community.
Other members share in fellowship in addition of knitting, crochet, sewing and other projects. We are working with the Open Door Women’s Clinic making baby blankets as well as other baby items. Also, we are helping with food contributions for St. Thomas Church in Quincy and with our parishioners, Michael and Brenda Popp, for Good News Ministry. We also collect newborn baby items for pregnant ladies from St. Thomas church in Quincy. Aside from the Christmas boxes and other donations, our Circle has funded the following: Stained glass windows in the chapel · Etched windows on the back and side windows in the main sanctuary · New vestments for our priests · New carpeting in the parish hall · New stove in the church kitchen
We would love to have you join us on Thursday!
