As part of Game Plan, come join Marriage and Family Therapist, Mario Sacasa, MS/Ed.S and Social Worker, Mary Ballard for an insightful look at what teens face in their lives at school and beyond and how parents can make a difference. This presentation will be held while the teens are in their Game Plan session on the first Monday, July 28th.
Parents have power!
A study of 12,000 adolescents showed that children whose parents held higher expectations for them had higher school achievement and fewer risk taking behaviors. Also, children whose parents disapproved of early sexual activity postponed sexual intercourse.

Parents can and should be the primary educators of their children when it comes to sexuality and character. You will leave this discussion with the information you need to discuss some of the difficult issues and pressures your children face in today’s society.
Have you already had a talk or two with your kids about God’s plan for our sexuality or do you just want to know where to start? Join us for an insightful discussion about how to start and keep the conversation going. Mary and Mario can give a first hand look at what your kids are up against at school, the role that movies, music and the media have on their decisions, and what gets in the way of kids staying abstinent until marriage. Discover how you as parents can use your incredible power to influence your children’s lives in positive ways.
