Stewardship Personal Testimonies

If we truly believe that God gives us all that we have, gratitude is one response. Trust is another. Sharing our gifts in love with each other becomes a matter of justice. When we realize that God has provided for us and will continue to do so, we recognize that our real security lies in God. Our God, who has given us all, will take care of our future.

Zimmer Family

Bill & Cookie Zimmer - Treasure

We are Bill and Cookie Zimmer ... During our first several years here at Good Shepherd, we never really thought about or knew much about the term Stewardship.  We knew what “tithing” was, but we really didn’t connect it with Stewardship.  In the beginning, donating money to the church was placing cash in the collection basket or if we were low on cash, hurrying and writing a check before the basket got to us. Michael & Amy Springer - Treasure

We were encouraged to take the Crown financial ministries course offered through Good Shepherd which gave a great understanding of what stewardship means.  Now the dictionary states that stewardship means the management of another’s property, finances or other affairs.  But our faith makes this definition take on such a deeper meaning.  Read more ...
