Have Your Own "Close Encounter" With Jesus Through Eucharistic Adoration
A young woman was considering a call to ministry and decided to spend some time in Eucharistic Adoration at the Good Shepherd chapel to pray about it. As she sat there, balancing a journal and pen on her lap, she gazed on the Lord's most beautiful face.
All of a sudden, an issue related to her relationship with her husband came to mind. She burst into tears. "Yes," You are right, Lord," she prayed. "This has been weighing heavy on my heart and I just don't know what to do…I have been trying everything I can think of…You know it's difficult for me to ask for myself – but it's for my marriage!"
She began recording the circumstances in her journal, crying out to Him in a new and fresh way. After filling a few pages, she set her pen down and closed her notebook. She had her answer. Jesus had given it to her.
That one experience led to a peace the woman had not felt in more than two years. What followed was a deep inner healing experience through continued prayer, counsel and the sacraments. She was renewed – physically and mentally. And it all started with Eucharistic Adoration.
Blessings beyond compare
Talk to just about anyone who has a devotion to Eucharist Adoration and you'll hear stories of their own inner healing and miracles.
Good Shepherd offers Adoration on the first Saturday of each month in the chapel from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with our Lord and to reflect on His plan and will for your life.
While signing up for a specific hour is encouraged, adorers are welcome throughout the day.
A sign up sheet is posted outside of the chapel a week before the first Saturday of the month. You can also send an e-mail to Good Shepherd's Adoration Coordinator, Jackie Rabittaille.
Though Saturdays can be a busy time, this ministry promises blessings beyond belief. Be sure to e-mail with your own stories of miracles and insights from spending one hour face-to-face with our Lord.
